Una máxima ignaciana que define una idea, un deseo, una aspiración legítima del creyente. Amar a cercanos y lejanos. Con amor que recibe muchos nombres: amistad, pasión, compasión, respeto…
Es verdad que no es fácil, y que en ocaciones resulta difícil querer a algunas personas. Y no por mala voluntad, sino poruqe las relaciones humanas son complejas. Pero también se aprende. A mirar con benevolencia. A comprender otras vidas. A desearles lo mejor. Y a trabajar por ello. Ahí entra el servir. Servir es ponerse manos a la obra para tratar de dejar el mundo un poquito mejor de lo que lo conocemos. Servir es la disposición para ayudar, para atender, para sanar…Servir en lo cotidiano. En la familia, en el trabajo, en el descanso. Sirven las palabras y los gestos; los silencios y las miradas; sirve nuestro tiempo, si lo empleamos bien; y la risa que se contagia; las canciones que esponjan; los esfuerzos por levantar al que anda caído. Sirve dar la vida cada día. Ignacio de Loyola lo aprendió al mirar a Jesús. Al conocerle, amarle y seguirle.
Es un buen eslogan para esta época nuestra. Un poco contracorriente, y para muchos, difícil de entender. Pero es una buena disposición vital. Darse, a tiempo y a destiempo. Porque de egoístas va el mundo sobrado. Y así nos va. De modo que, aunque sea difícil y a veces cueste, ¿por qué no ser ambiciosos? Para amar y servir, en todo.
